Simone and Brynn have fallen in love, despite the fact their families are sworn enemies.

Everybody from Brynn’s past seems to be arriving back in Hunston Hill.

Brynn’s aunt Fallan is back to help Brynn reclaim the family fortune. Her ex, Kenzy McClellan has returned to win Brynn back.

Fallan called on Kenzy to woo Brynn away from Simone’s suspicious Randolph arms. Fallan knows you can’t trust a Randolph.

Simone has been trying to discuss her failing marriage with Lyle who has been avoiding the topic.

Lyle suspects there is more to Simone’s ‘friendship’ w/ Brynn than meets the eye. His mother Lydia has not been convinced.

Until she realized who Brynn really was…

EPISODE 221 - THE WRONG FOOT

Lyle waits for his mother, fuming. Lydia races back in carrying a faded newspaper.

@pandplydia *annoyed* Patrick Logan, Marie Logan, Fallan Logan, Arthur Logan, Brynn Logan...

@pandplydia *stops* Brynn... LOGAN?

Lyle looks at the photo. His face goes pale. He looks at Lydia. Nods. As Lydia screams in horror...

At Kenzy’s door, Brynn looks deep into Simone’s eyes.

@pandpSimone Ready?

*smiles* I plan on charming the power suit off your little school chum.

Brynn laughs and knocks. Beat. Anna throws open the front door dressed casually in a wife-beater and distressed jeans.

Hi. You must be Brynn and Simone. I’m Anna.

@pandpAnna So nice to...

@pandpkenzy *screams* BABE! They’re here!

Anna leads them into Kenzy’s tastefully decorated living room. News awards line the fireplace mantle.

@pandpSimone By the way, I LOVE the name Simone. Like Simone Lahbib.

@pandpAnna Who?

@pandpSimone The actress from that TV show Bad Girls. Meow!

Simone gives Anna a blank look as Kenzy enters from the kitchen, dressed stylishly. She smiles.

Our guests have arrived.

After dinner, Kenzy brings empty wine glasses into the kitchen. Brynn rinses dishes. Kenzy tries to grab one, Brynn pulls it out of the way.

@pandpBrynn Will you stop? I’ll do that...

@pandpkenzy I’m almost done.

Kenzy laughs, folds her arms and watches Brynn. Beat.

@pandpkenzy So? What do you think of Simone?

Meanwhile, in the dining room, Simone does her best to make small talk with Anna.

@pandpAnna So, how long have you and Kenzy been girlfriends?

@pandpSimone *laughs* We’re not girlfriends.

@pandpAnna *confused* You’re not?

@pandpSimone I mean we sleep together but Kenzy likes to keep her options open.

@pandpAnna And you’re okay with that arrangement?

@pandpSimone *confides* She is A-M-A-Z-ing in bed. You have no idea.

Simone looks horrified. Back in the kitchen...

@pandpkenzy Do you like her?

@pandpBrynn I... I do.

@pandpkenzy That didn’t sound too convincing.

@pandpBrynn *laughs* What do you want from me?

Brynn turns around and folds her arms.

@pandpkenzy You don’t think she’s charming?

Back in the dining room, Anna leans in.

@pandpSimone So, what toys do you guys use?

Simone nearly chokes on her wine...

@pandpAnna Toys?

Simone’s saved by her phone which vibrates in her purse. The caller ID says META RANDOLPH.

@pandpAnna I'm so sorry. Will you excuse me?

Moments later, Simone enters Kenzy’s bathroom and shuts the door.

@pandpSimone Shimone! Is me. I need your help...

@pandpmeta *hushed whisper* Meta, I can’t talk... Brynn and I are having dinner with Kenzy and this terrifying lesbian...

@pandpSimone *cries* But, Shimone, I’m in the slammer!

@pandpmeta *shocked* You’re in jail?! What happened?

@pandpSimone OMG I got an IUD! Wait no... I mean a DUI. So you gotta pig me up!

Before Simone can respond, her phone beeps with a text. From Lyle. As Simone reads it, her jaw drops.

Oh, my GOD.

Back in the kitchen, Kenzy looks at Brynn for a long beat.

@pandpBrynn *softly* I just worry, Brynn. About the family thing. Can that realistically work out?

@pandpkenzy Don’t you understand? Simone and I are in control. For once it’s not about the families.

@pandpBrynn But how can you be so sure? You haven’t known her that long...

Simone clears her throat loudly. Kenzy nearly jumps out of her skin.

@pandpBrynn *looking anxious* Brynn? May I have a word with you?

Kenzy watches, confused, as Simone grabs Brynn and drags her off to the bathroom. Beat. She shakes her head in frustration.

Inside the bathroom, Simone slams the door, trying to stay calm.

@pandpSimone *concerned* What is it?

@pandpBrynn Lyle just texted me that he’s missed his plane and he’s on his way home. So can you pick Meta up from jail?

Brynn’s jaw drops.

@pandpSimone what!?

Later, in the Randolph Kitchen, Simone waits anxiously at the table. A beautiful cheese plate rests near chilled champagne.

Lyle’s car pulls up in the driveway. Simone exhales. He comes in through the front door, enters the kitchen, sets down his briefcase.

@pandpSimone Are we celebrating something?

@pandplyle I just wanted to make things nice.

@pandpSimone Ah. Well, let’s crack into it.

Simone watches, surprised, as Lyle quickly pops the cork and pours two glasses. He hands one to Simone and raises his.

@pandpSimone To... what? The end?

Simone looks down.

@pandpSimone C’mon, toast with me. To the end! *sips* Mmm. You’re gonna miss this stuff.

@pandplyle I don’t want to start off like this.

@pandpSimone Then let’s start off like this. Are you having an affair with Brynn?

Simone stares at Lyle, thrown off. Finally she stammers.

@pandplyle We’re here to discuss us. Not Brynn.

@pandpSimone Funny, our marriage started crumbling right around the time we hired her.

@pandplyle Our marriage was in trouble long before that and you know it!

@pandpSimone Maybe she knew it too when she conveniently came to your rescue and became the best friend you never had.

Simone feels her frustration level rising. She snaps.

@pandplyle Are you interested in fixing this marriage, Lyle?

@pandpSimone Are you?

@pandplyle I’m interested in making what is sure to be a very difficult experience as easy as possible on our son.

@pandpSimone What are you talking about?

Simone pauses for a long beat. Then finally... she spits out the words.

@pandplyle Lyle, I want a divorce.

@pandpSimone *stunned* A what? A divorce?! No, Simone, NO!

@pandplyle Why so shocked? You just toasted to “the end” did you not? Your smugness has always been part of the problem.

Simone’s anger picks up steam.

@pandplyle You make it impossible to have an honest conversation!

@pandplyle You claim you love me but you’re FAR more concerned about your Mother than me OR Max.

@pandpSimone Of course I love you! And my son!

@pandplyle I don’t think you even know what love feels like! I certainly didn’t!

@pandpSimone But you do now?!

Knowing the answer suddenly makes Simone incredibly sad.

@pandplyle I know this doesn’t feel like love. Does it to you, Lyle?

@pandpSimone *upset* It has! When the most beautiful woman in the room loved me... when you gave me Max... I want that back...

@pandplyle Those are just memories. You’ve barely noticed me for years...

@pandpSimone I’ve given you everything you’ve ever asked for, Simone. EVERYTHING.

@pandplyle You’ve given me things, Lyle, wonderful things! But I need more. I need kindness and affection and someone I can talk to...

@pandpSimone OH, THE THINGS YOU GET FROM BRYNN?

Lyle flings his champagne glass angrily across the room. It whizzes by Simone and crashes into the foyer.

Simone freezes as Lyle suddenly explodes into a tirade that frightens her to the core.

@pandpSimone Sorry to tell you, Simone, but she’s a FAKE! She’s not your FRIEND. She doesn’t care about you, she cares about OUR MONEY!

@pandpSimone BRYNN IS A LOGAN! A selfish, scheming, lying LOGAN!

Lyle kicks over a chair in his rage, sending it flying. Simone flees behind the counter.

@pandpSimone It was a SET UP, don’t you see? She only came here to hurt this family! To break us apart and YOU FELL FOR IT!

Lyle bends down, catching his breath. Simone watches, paralyzed with fear. He stands up again, his face twisted in pain.

@pandpSimone You played right into her hands. My own wife. I only pray she didn’t touch you...

@pandpSimone Because if she did... I swear, I will fucking kill her.
